Special Effect!: Regretful Break Up

Now that i've convinced that brat that she needs us to be safe, i can assume that things are going smoothly as planned. I'm ninety-nine percent sure that she has to be a Number, but i'm doubting if she is a failed Number or a Number from our little group back then. If she was one of us, she has to be Number 1, since there were only two girls: Maria and Number 1. If she isn't one of our group, then it could get pretty difficult. I'm not saying this to be offensive towards her, actuelly i AM, but i won't have much trust in a incomplete experiment. I guess we we'll have to wait a little bit longer to find out... It's not like that we noticed any sign of those scientists coming after us, so we've some spare time... I Hope.

There was an akward silence in the living room around the ovaloid table where everybody that was present in the house was sitting. Maria and Sasuke were sitting on the both ends of the table, while Gaby and Toushirou were sitting directly infront of each other. It was no secret that Gaby wasn't really fond of the new-joined member, but she had to tolerate it for little longer. The dark-haired teen found it rather amusing. Seeing the troubled and irritated face on the bright-eyed lass made him satisfied enough to sit there with a little grin on his face. Maria was obviously feeling very uncomfy, but that's no surprise: Gaby was glaring with a devilish gaze toward Toushirou, while Toushirou was watching to his hands that were resting on his lap. On top of that, Sasuke was sitting there with a pleased smile on it's face. She had to atleast try to break the silence, right?

"So, Gaby," Maria scrapped her throat nervously, "i understood that you got the information about our situation from Sasuke?"
Gaby didn't responded to her, instead she kept her big eyes set on the white-haired lad infront of her. If a glare could kill, she definitely would killed him the second she set hare gaze at him.
 "Surely you aren't planning to stay here for a long time, are you?"
Her sentence sounded very direct and sharp, causing Toushirou to look up, watching her. The turqoise-eyed boy  watched the irritated lass with a calm face expression. It was this carefree look on him that irritated the hell out of Gaby. The second he looked at the petticoat, her eyes became a lot more threatening than they first were.
"Don't worry, i'll leave right away if you're so full of me. Thank you for having me here and goodbye to you all."
Standing up to Gaby's statement, Toushirou stood up from the chair and and walked around the table to the hall, where the door to the world outside was situated.
"No, Toushy, wait!"
Maria was now standing up quickly, walking towards the collected boy. She was the one that took him here, so she wasn't letting him go so quickly to the cruel life on the street. They had a lot of common, Maria and Toushirou, more than anyone would ever know. Knowing how dangerous and stressfull the life is in the slum of cities, she couldn't possibly let him go back living the life that he was leading.
"Women, don't call me Toushy and do not touch me!" Toushirou pulled his away from her grip fiercely and looked with stern eyes to her. In those serious eyes that was directed towards Maria, she could see great loneliness and signs of being hurted. toushirou is far too proud to admit it, but the words of Gaby really stung him. All this time he was swallowing all kinds of comments on the street from people. It seems that the statement just made was the final drop for him.
"I... do not belong here."
He stormed out of the living room, like he did yesterday on the street, with a great speed. After slamming the door shut, there was again a silence in the room. This silence was not akward like the previous one, no this silence had a threatening characteristic to it. Mostly because of Maria, that was now slowly walking towards the table.
"You know, people like you makes life everyday worser for him"
Maria had a different tone in her voice than normal. Sasuke was stilling sitting there, watching everything what happened without making a single comment. He felt that Maria reached her limit of tolerance with Gaby. She couldn't blame her, he neither could suppport much of this female's unique behavior. Since the beginning, the young female was acting like this towards them and Toushirou. He didn't liked Toushirou to much, but he would never wish him any ill, unlike this person right here. This behavior made he wonder: what happened to let her become like this?
"I don't care about scum like him, he's better of in the street where he belongs perfectly."

Damn, that's a pretty heartless thing to say. This will get ugly with Maria around...

Gaby was looking at the table, absent-minded like she wasn't paying any attention to the words of Maria that were directed at her.
"Are you serious? Geez, you're even a much worser person than i thought! People like you should be the one living on the street! While this boy is struggling to survive each day, you're sitting here on your lazy bum trying to accomplish nothing at all. What i see right now is that his life is far more worthy than your lowly life!"
She is losing it, he knows it. He must do somethign right now, before her ability will start working. The fiercer her emotions, the higher chance that they will all be electrolyzed alive right here.
"Maria, calm down. You don't need to---- "What do you know about my life?!"
Suddenly, the oh so quiet lass was now losing it too. She interrupted Sasuke with a offensive tone in her voice. She stood up with a great force, letting her chair fall on the floor. At that moment, they could hear the sound of water falling in the sink of the kichen and in the shower, falling with great power to the material they reached. Outside, where several little clouds were seen, where spreading now much bigger and darker clouds. Sasuke was now getting worried. Eletricity and water: not a good combination.

If this goes on, then we will be either dead by the massive drops that will come at high speed or being roasted by the power of electricity... Oh man, why now when everything was going so well?

"What do you know about me? I worked so hard to accomplish what i've now in this very life and you are calling my life lowly?! I was in the same state at first as that scum, but i tried atleast to have this house and it's belongings, i tried to make the most of my life, since i was dumped on the street! I accomplished this all, without anyone helping me ,with only hard work and what did he accomplished?! Nothing at all. So you don't have the right to call my life less worthy than that white-haired brat!"
While Gaby was yelling at Maria, the tears were rolling all over her cheecks. She was pointing at Maria, feeling clearly offended by her judgement about her life. Both the cousin and niece were surprised by this outburst. Sasuke stood up, walking to Maria who was the most shocked of them both. Maria held her chest and had pronto a different face expression. "You know, screw you both!"
Gaby took her keyboard, that she always carried on her back, and rushed out of the room too. After hearing the door slam for the second time this time being , Maria sat slowly down on her chair. She was looking guilty towards the table, with her eyes widened open. Her respiration went quicker and she placed her both hands on her face.
"I d-didn't know, i s-swear Sasuke.."
He could hear her cousin's sobs. Sasuke placed his hands on her shoulder, trying to comfort her. The dark-eyed boy didn't liked seeing her like this. He experienced this side of Maria countless of time. She is a gal that was very upset and saying pretty rash things, but after that, she would feel extremely guilty, causing her to be very emotional. "Nobody could have known Maria." Sasuke squated next to Maria, looking at her watery eyes that were looking to his. She shook her head and stood up, walking towards the door, making up her mind.
"I'm going to apologize to her and i'm going to find Toushy." Sasuke walked rapidly after her. When reaching her he held her arm, that prevented her from walking further. "You don't know this city, you will only get lost, it's no use." Maria turned quickly towards Sasuke and pulled her arm out of his vaunt.
"Sasuke, i've caused this problem, and i'm going to fix it, wether you like it or not!"
She walked out of the living room towards the hall and left the house. After hearing the door slam for the third time, Sasuke stood there alone in the living room. He looked outside and saw it the already dark-blue sky turning slightly darker.
"... This isn't going very well.."

"Sir please, can you spare some change?" "Lady, can you please give me some of your leftovers?"
Nobody looked at me like an equal. All of them looked at me with disgust. You should expect that people in a modern city like this would help each other to make life more easier, but for scum like me, a good life would be a waste. Everyday was a fight between life and death. If there was enough food for a day, i could only panic about the food shortage for tomorrow. If all elements were present to survive, i was already stressing out about the thought that those materials wouldn not be in my grasp forever. I was easily content: If someone just trowed at me some rotten food in order to let me feel sad, i was happy that i found something edible. If someone was trowing me some change in my face in order to let me feel pain, i was satisfied by the thought that i only needed a little more to buy some water.  After some struggle, i had found someone who was willing to let me work full time, in return that i wasn't payed full. But i didn't mind, i was content with everything they gave me. After a long way of hard work, i finally got to pay the rental of the house i'm living in. Luckily, the boss of my work is paying too, since she thinks that i'm a irreplaceable laborer. I cheated death many times in my life and even took gambles to make it this far in my life. And now this Maria, that is probaly grown in a more luxury surrounding than me, is calling my life more lowly than a dirty hobo that isn't even trying to survive to it's fullest? 
You've got to be kidding me.

Gaby runned as fast as she could to the usual spot where she was found. She reached the hill where she always sat down if something was troubling her. It was a tough challenge to climb the top, but it was it all worth in as soon as you reached the place. The view was breathtaking: you could see a large part of the electronic city from the top. It was especially pleasant right now, since with was pretty late. The dark sky combined with the many lights that were coming from the city was just beautiful. Rythym City was glowing in the dark surrounding as a star in the immensly sky. The soft breeze compensated the warm climate at this cool evening. On the hill, there was a vast tree that was around many years. The top of the hill was covered of a green surface that excisted out of grass and other small plants. There were several boulders near where you could sit on and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature and the brightness of Rythym City. Since she lived here, Gaby never saw any visitors at this hidden place. It's too much effort for the stuck-up people to climb up. If there isn't a elevator present, why bother? Gaby was panting when she reached her usal spot and sat down on the ground, leaning her back against the tree, thinking about what just happened.
"I didn't want to come over like such a bully, but..." The young lass was feeling pretty down, especially after making such a cruel statement against Toushirou. "I can say that Maria doesn't know anything about my life after saying that, but i could say the same about me commenting on the way of living about that guy," the lonesome lass sighned hearable with a face expression that clearly showed regret, "i hope that this will not become a big issue."
Gaby bended her both legs towards her body to leng her arms on them, resting her forehead on her arms.
"I just want to say sorry, but i don't know how.." The howling breeze that felt now a bit chillier was now cooling off her hot-feeling cheeks, cooling at the same time her thoughts.

"That's okay, i forgive you this one time."
The sudden voice that came out of nowhere surprised the worrying maiden. That surprised that she immediately jumped away from the tree where the voice was coming from. She focused to the space aroudn the tree, where she didn't saw a soul.  
"I-is this... you talking to me, almighty tree?"
A chuckle. A boyish chuckle was heared from the top of the tree. A certain light-coloured-haired boy jumped out from the top of the immense tree. Making a couple of sommersaults in the air, purely to show off, he finished nicely when he reached the ground with his feet, squated. He stood up and smiled kindly towards the baffled Gaby.
"You.. how long where you here?" "Before you came here." "How do you know about this place? I never seen anybody here."
"I was always watching you, to make sure you were alright, you know?"
Toushirou scratched, with a calm expression on his face, the back of his head. He wasn't feeling intimitated by the slightly shorter girl that was standing on the other side.
"You're always watching me?" Not irritated, but surprised to his statement, the girl looked at him with a questioned gaze. "What do you mean by that?" The boy walked over to her side, stopping with walking just infront of a boulder, giving it space between the teens. "It's really a pain don't recognize me, Gaby," Toushirou sighed, looking with dissapointed eyes to the female infront of him, that was getting surprised the more he talked. His eyes where giving a nice shine that was caused by the brightness of the city that was behind the girl.

Always watching me? What does he mean by that?! Is this hobo a stalker or something? Just my luck. This day couldn't be greater than this.

"Or should i rather say, Number 1?"
